On the day of your portrait session you will meet Michele at the agreed upon site. Expect to spend approximately two hours with Michele. There is no limit to the number of images created at your session. The session appointment should be made at a time when your children will be at their best. We generally recommend early morning or early afternoon. Just after nap time or lunch is also a good time for children. It is best not to over sell your children on the idea of having their portrait taken. Let them know that they are going to have fun taking pictures with Michele. Too much pressure can often lead to a child who is trying too hard to please and does not look natural. For young children, bring plenty of snacks and drinks. Also, favorite objects that are small such as a stuffed animal.
Clothing should be kept simple. For black and white portraits, black or dark gray solid long sleeved mock turtle necks are perfect. Children under the age of one year can be nude. For outdoor locations our best suggestion is casual solid earth tone clothing. Jeans and white tee shirts are also a great look. We do not recommend patterns, as they can be very distracting.
